Tequila El Relingo Blanco

Tequila El Relingo Blanco is 100% de Agave. This Blanco Tequila goes through a double filtration process during its first and second distillations, this critical process is what dictates the quality, as it joins the unique aromas, body, and flavors together.

The name El Relingo comes from a popular and elegant horse in the region of Union de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico.

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I love to find good tequilas under $20. I found this one for $19 and read a lot of positive reviews. I'm hoping that it's as good as I hope it's going to be.

Aroma: Grassy agave & mint. Light spice as well.
Initial Taste: Lightly sweet agave with a hint of white pepper.
Body: Fairly thin body, but a lot of nice notes. Agave is still the main flavor. Notes of grass and earth too.
Finish: This is a pretty smooth ending. It's short, but there's no burn or bitterness. A nice peppery linger

This is pretty good blanco. It's not great, but it's 100% a steal at the price of $20. It's got some nice character and is easy to drink. For people looking for a nice value option, I'd definitely recommend El Relingo...and I'll definitely be trying the reposado soon.

Tasted out of a snifter at home. Paid $24 for a bottle. Clear in color, it's hard to beat the value of El Relingo blanco. IMHO, a great blanco for the price. I was taken a little by surprise. Yet, I'd recommend this one to blanco lovers any day. Go figure, huh? Aroma: A clear and present nose of floral and fruit, with a lighter scent of grass. Initial Taste: With a thin mouth feel, and a semi sweet entry, there's no bitterness. An initial taste of spices. Body: A nice agave body, with hints of earth, spices, and fruit. Finish: A semi heated finish of medium duration. With a sweet lingering of fruit.

El Relingo Blanco NOM 1486 Tasted on 1/12/09 at 2:00pm. I tried this tequila at my home and tasted it in a Riedel glass. With a clear color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral and fruit. Other aromas include moderate earth and spice. The tequila has a thin mouth feel and on the first sip is semi sweet with no bitterness. El Relingo Blanco has intense flavors of agave and fruit followed by moderate notes of floral with mild earth and spice. With a medium duration of flavor, this tequila comes to a subtle numbing finish. El Relingo Blanco has received the rating of 90/91 points out of 100.
