Los Azulejos Tequila Añejo - Heroes of Mexico Collection

Los Azulejos Tequila Anejo - Heroes of Mexico Collection is 100% Agave and aged in oak barrels for close to three years.

The Heroes of Mexico Collection is an extension of the Los Azulejos Masterpiece Collection, which began as a limited edition collectors series for fall 2009. The Heroes of Mexico Collection were released in 2011 and contain 6 bottles which celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution against the dictator Porfidio Diaz and the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence from Spain. Three bottles are from the Revolution depicting Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, and one with both. The other three bottles are from the Mexican Independence depicting Miguel Hidalgo, Jose Maria Morelos, and General Agustin de Iturbide.

Each bottle has the same design and painting on both sides and are hand-painted by Mexican artisans in Puebla, Mexico, home of Talavera Pottery.

Los Azulejos (Ah-zoo-le-hos) comes from the Mexican art form "Talavera". Talavera is hand-painted earthenware made in the Puebla region of Mexico. Talavera tiles, called Azulejos, have been used to decorate the most beautiful homes and haciendas in Mexico for many centuries.
