I get different aspects with every sniff, but it's a mixture of earth, grass, oak, fruit, and a tinge of tartness. No single one thing is overpowering, and every note is rather subtle. A warm oak entry that basically turns into bittersweet caramel - not overly complex. Pretty light body with a dry feel and fair amount of tingle. Smooth, quick finish, but a longer than expected lingering of raw agave and a little caramel.

I enjoyed the blanco more than the reposado in this case, but this would do as a sipper in a pinch. There's enough in there to retain my interest for some reason, but YMMV. I think price may hurt this brand in the long run. It would be a good bargain tequila, but I normally see it priced in the mid-to-upper 30's, which won't keep me coming back for more. A very functional bottle with a screw top and wooden cap. The painted native American face is interesting, but it doesn't exactly make you think of tequila.
