The nose on this reposado has a lot of caramel and vanilla, but not a lot of agave. It's very sweet, and you know it's cooked agave, but there are no earthy, vegetal, or spice notes. There might be a slight floral aspect.
The taste follows the nose - pretty sweet with the same caramel and vanilla notes. It's a nice-tasting liquor, but IMO it does not have a traditional tequila taste. Like the blanco, there is a nice weight to the body, and more oiliness added with this reposado.
The finish is smooth, but rather uneventful. It does not last long, and not much is added from the initial taste.
The price is fair for about $35. The bottle is nice with a good cork seal and the notch that helps secure it.
Overall, this is an enjoyable tequila if you really like sweet expressions with caramel and vanilla, or as a non-offensive intro for newbies. It probably mixes very well, too.
