The value brand from a very good distillery. For the price, I just couldn't turn it down. Is it a well priced gem or an immediate mixer. I'm hoping for the former.
Aroma: Earthy agave, floral notes and a slight bit of alcohol and smoke.
Initial Taste: Earthy agave and oak with a fairly thin mouth feel.
Body: Thin body for a repo. Oak, agave and hints of vanilla and earth are present.
Finish: This was by far the worst part. The finish is almost bitter and briny. Almost like overly salted ham. Slightly medicinal. Before that, it was a decent value tequila, but the finish takes away all of the positives.
There's lots of 100% agave tequilas out there in the $10-15 range if you do your homework. I love a lot of tequilas from NOM 1416, but this is not one of them.
