Crótalo Tequila Reposado

Crótalo Reposado Tequila is double barrel aged for just over 11 months. For the first six months it is aged in French Oak while the last 5 months it is aged in our proprietary barrel. The combination of barrels smoothen out the flavor of the Tequila while turning its color to a deep gold. Crótalo Reposado Tequila is excellent to sip or to make premium margaritas.

Crótalo Tequila is a traditionally crafted, limited production premium tequila. One hundred percent blue agave is hand selected and harvested with a coa by our jimadors, ensuring that only the finest pínas are used to produce Crótalo Tequila. It is our attention to tradition and detail that provides Crótalo Tequila with character, taste and quality that are unmatched. We showcase Crótalo Tequila in artisan glass blown bottles with labels that are applied by hand.

After trying the extra anejo and falling in love with it, I was anxious to try another Crotalo.

Aroma: Light scent - Agave, Fruit and Spice.
Initial Taste: Very Unique. Instead of just getting the sweet on the tip of the tongue, you get a very well integrated baking spice mix along with the agave sweetness and a touch of earth.
Body: Nice thick body for a reposado. Hints of vanilla and wood compliment the other flavors of the initial taste.
Finish: A very nice medium length finish that keeps the baking spice and adds in a little bit of pepper and slight alcohol heat. A nice well rounded finish.

This line is very solid. The bottles look great. They're a higher price point at around $50, but the juice inside merits a premium price. Well worth a look.
