Bought this at costco, paid $99 for 1.75 liters. Sampled form a 6 oz. shot glass. I have had this tequila many times and the one thing I can say about Patron is that it is NEVER the same. It is a bit disturbing to say the least. Color is straw, works it way down the glass with fast legs and settles to small tears quickly. Not too complex in the nose, agave/alcohol some caramel and floral comes through. Thin in the mouth and a bit of heat in the finish. It's cheap and comes in a nice big bottle, the top will start to come apart over time. Patron is a marketing success and has brought some attention to the industry. All they need to do now is figure out how to be consistent with their product.

One of the few bottles of Anejo that I did not finish. Let my wife use it up cooking shrimp. It wasn't awful, but life is too short to sip Tequila you don't really like. I will order Patron if it is all a bar has to offer. May try some of their higher end Tequila just to make sure I am not missing anything.

Patron is a "good" tequila; but, in my opinion, not a "GREAT" tequila. In my humble opinion, not the quality of other anejos in this price-catagory. In the future, I will order something else when savoring an anjeo (Don Julio, Chinaco, Herradura, etc...) This one goes in my margarita...

Tasted out of Double Ball glass. Patron anejo just didn't do it for me. I'm just not a fan of the Patron line. It's just my humble opinion.

Aroma: Simple agave and wood.
Initial Taste: On tip of tongue, there was bitterness.
Body: Agave, earth, wood, and caramel. but a little watery.
Finish: Of short duration with a small alcohol burn.

I liked the Patron Anejo a little better than the Silver. It has a mild flavor of agave and oak, however not as prominent as other anejos. I found it a bit smoother than the Silver... that's not saying much though. Patron Anejo is not a bad tequila but for the price there is much better out there.
