Cabo Wabo Anejo NOM 1467 Tasted on 5/21/07 at 6:30pm. I purchased 1.5 ounces of this tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento, CA for $10 and tasted it out of a snifter. With a yellow golden color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral and earth. Other aromas include moderate fruit and spice also, mild vanilla and hints of caramel and smoke. The tequila has a thin oily mouth feel and the first sip is sweet with mild bitterness. Cabo Wabo Anejo has numerous arrays of flavors due to its 1 to 5 years of aging. Intense flavors of earth are followed by moderate notes of agave, spice, and smoke. With a medium-to-short duration of flavor, tastes of mild chemicals, fruit, floral, and caramel with a hint of vanilla bring this tequila to a numbing finish.
